Thomas Schreiber Costa is an architectural draftsman and apprentice builder with a dedication to managing data, drawing, and reimagining the built environment. Influenced by early experiences building tree houses in the Amazon, Thomas developed a passion for architecture and landscape design that has grown into a career spanning design, drafting, concept exploration & construction. With a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture, the work showed case here - reflects both technical precision and creative vision for developing ideas as a designer, builder, and concept artist.
Arundel is a reference to Arundel Castle, a symbol of enduring craftsmanship and the legacy of builders and landscapers across generations. Within this lineage, design is not simply the act of making, but an inquisitive pursuit — a quest to shape spaces that embody care, precision, and imagination. Each project becomes part of this continuum, where architectural drafting transforms into both a discipline and a narrative of well-crafted environments.
I think drafting is more than technical work — it’s the bridge between ideas and construction. From measured drawings to conceptual studies, its possible to turn visions into clear, buildable documents.
Good design balances precision with creativity. The process of design is on-going & combines accurate data with thoughtful exploration, ensuring spaces are not only functional but also inspiring and well-crafted.
To me drafting is a language — one that makes ideas tangible, aligns expectations, and guides projects from imagination to reality. My goal is simple: to reimagine better opportunities for livable spaces through clarity, care, and craft.
The Arundel Design is simply a reference to an on-going quest & commitment to planet Earth, as our ancestors once were. My family has always value pragmatic solutions that minimize environmental impact while nurturing sustainable futures. Holding true to architectural principles of design, always with respect for the land that sustains us - has been the driver when presented with challenges.
I have recognized the wisdom and resilience of Indigenous nations in my work, whose stewardship of forests, waters, and landscapes has endured for millennia. Their ongoing fight against deforestation, resource depletion, and ecological extinction motivates me to approach design with humility, responsibility, and reverence for the natural world.
I am typically at peach when design aligns creativity with accountability — crafting spaces that honor both people and the planet.
